Atul is an award winning filmmaker working across fiction and factual, Atul’s debut feature as writer/director, the indie drama ‘Amar, Akbar & Tony’, was snapped up by Netflix for exclusive world rights after a successful run in the UK cinemas.
His early work, marked by the short fiction film “If it Don’t Kill Ya” and the poignant award winning documentary “Big Time”, about the struggles of a dwarf rock band trying to be taken seriously in the music business showcased his capacity to blend humour and gravity, whilst illuminating underrepresented voices and complex themes.
His credits for UK and international broadcasters include: Deciphering The Philippines (CNA), ‘Cardshark’ (National Geographic),‘Ross Kemp on Guns’ (Sky), ‘The People’s Book of Records’ (Ch4), ‘Solomon: The Escape Artist’ (Ch4), ‘Breaking Magic’(Discovery) and Coded World (CNA).
Atul is an alumni of BIFA’s Springboard 2023 and a Bafta member.
